Two years on, without Didi in our lives. Memories come back all the time. Yesterday there was a small sale of Persian carpets in our local market hall; thought of Didi's expertise in carpets and the types she loved. Last night, my husband's choir held it's annual bash with a French theme; we talked about Didi over Gallette de Roi and how she'd once flown back from Paris with a professional Pithiviers to compare with David's cooking of one. So many associations, never fogotten. x

Didi's birthday coincides with the Jubilee celebrations today; when she was born it was Derby day, so it is usually on or near summer celebrations and, of course, the height of the year in light and in the garden. Time to give thanks again for all the good times.

One year on, and we still miss Didi so much. A mass said for her at Our Lady and St Peter's, East Grinstead. Many thanks to all who have called/emailed throughout the year and asked after Mum. x
